A. Telescopic Pole:
3 piece is cemented directly into the ground. The birdhouse can then be raised and lowered vertically. This is a wonderful system. Most purple martin landlords insist upon a Telescoping Pole System. This allows the birdhouse to be raised and lowered several times each season for nest checks, without disturbing the nests.

B. PIVOTING POLE BASE (optional item):
The Pivoting Pole Base will be cemented into the ground also. This base will function in two ways. The birdhouse can be raised and lowered vertically. The Pivoting Pole Base will also allow the pole and martin house to easily and quickly pivot down. (as shown) This works better for one person doing the job. The Pivoting Pole system works well to install and take down your house and to remove any unwanted birds that may move in before your martins do. Pivoting your pole is not recommended when martins are nesting, or young birds are in the nest, as you will disturb all of the nests.
